The journey begins by the Castro Guimarães Palace Museum, perched on a cliff bay just west of the marina. Cross the charming cobbled bridge across that tiny bay to discover the route’s first marvels, the picturesque museum House of Santa Maria and Santa Marta Lighthouse.

Further along you can’t miss the imposing Hell’s Mouth (Boca do Inferno). This dramatic sea arch, born from a collapsed cave, puts on a thrilling show as the waves thunder into it, especially during the tempestuous winter months.

As you pedal or pace along this coastal trail, each turn reveals a new sight, from jagged cliffs to ancient forts and lighthouses that still stand as sentinels to the sea.

Finaly you reach the tranquil stretch of Guincho Beach, a haven for surfers and sun-seekers alike. Here, the vast expanse of sand and surf invites you to relax and soak up the beauty of the Atlantic coast.

The Guincho bike path, more than a trail, is a way to tranquility, where the only rush you’ll feel is the wind at your back and the fun in your heart.
