One of Portugal's most exclusive and picturesque beaches

Tucked away in Portugal’s Alentejo region, just a 1.5-hour drive south of Lisbon, Comporta is celebrated for its pristine natural beauty — endless dunes of soft white sand bordered by fragrant pine forests and the green expanse of rice fields that lend an untouched, serene backdrop.

We recommend
Comporta stands out because of its dedication to simplicity and sustainability. Its unspoiled nature, combined with its laid-back yet stylish vibe, has made it a favorite among those seeking a more secluded and exclusive beach experience. Sunset at Comporta is particularly magical, with the sky casting warm, golden hues across the dunes and sea. The nearby village, with its mix of traditional architecture, exclusive restaurants and designer boutiques, offers an inviting contrast to the wild beauty of the coastline. Together with the natural surroundings of the Arrábida Natural Park, — from the Sado River estuary to the Arrábida hills in the distance — Comporta offers a retreat where time slows down and beauty is found in quiet, and seemingly effortless details.
